Planning for the future

Have your say on outdoor alcohol restrictions

We’re reviewing zoning across public roads, footpaths, parks and civic places.

Outdoor alcohol restrictions

Alcohol-free zones and alcohol prohibited areas are being reviewed in our area.

There are currently 379 alcohol-free zones applicable to public roads and footpaths and alcohol-prohibited areas within parks and civic spaces across. Some of these have been in place over a decade.

These restrictions aim to create streets and public spaces that are safe and for everyone to enjoy.

Residents, community groups, local businesses and other stakeholders are encouraged to provide feedback by completing the online survey.

Collaborative decision making

Your feedback, along with crime statistics and advice from NSW police and other key stakeholders, will shape our recommendations about future outdoor alcohol restrictions.

These recommendations will be presented to Council in mid-2024.

Have your say by 1 March.
