Community reminder: All drones prohibited in Sydney Park

Due to Sydney Park’s location under the approach and departure path of Sydney Airport, you can’t fly your drone in Sydney Park.

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) drone safety rules state that drones are prohibited from flying over or in the approach and departure path of an airport.

This ban applies to all drones regardless of size.

Always check where you can fly

There are many additional suburbs and sites in our local area where all drones are prohibited.

To check where you can and can’t fly, download a CASA-verified drone safety app before take-off.

The apps provide customised, location-based information along with easy-to-use maps that display where you can and can’t fly your drone in line with aviation legislation.

For more information about the drone safely rules or to download a CASA-verified drone safety app visit casa.gov.au/knowyourdrone.
