Dive into summer at your favourite City of Sydney pool

Make a splash and welcome the warmer weather.

Enjoy one of Sydney’s favourite outdoor pools, the Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool, now open for the swimming season.

Set on Woolloomooloo Bay, near the Royal Botanic Garden, this outdoor pool treats swimmers to breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour.

Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool is open 6am to 7pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 7pm.

To mark the start of summer, all our pools including Victoria Park in Camperdown, Prince Alfred Park in Surry Hills, Cook + Philip Park Pool and Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre have extended their opening hours on weekends to 7am to 7pm.

Our pools are open for lap swimming, squads and swim school classes. The smaller pool at Andrew (Boy) Charlton is open to restricted numbers for free play when swim school is not in session.

The water play area at Prince Alfred Park and the splash pool at Victoria Park remain closed.

Covid-19 restrictions

The safety of our community is our highest priority. Covid-19 restrictions are in place at our pools and facilities. Follow the instructions that include physical distancing, good hygiene and signing in when you visit.

City of Sydney pool opening hours
