The festive season is a time to come together, celebrate and create joyful memories.
At our free Christmas concerts, we believe everyone should have the chance to share in the magic. That’s why we’ve ensured these events are not only brimming with holiday cheer but are also thoughtfully designed with accessibility and inclusivity in mind.
From special features to welcoming spaces for all, these concerts are here to make the season bright for everyone.
Here’s how we’re making that happen.
Big screen captioning
Enjoy every word of the songs, speeches and festive messages with our large, easy-to-read captions displayed on big screens beside the stage. This feature ensures everyone can follow along and fully enjoy the performances.
Sensory activity tent
If you prefer a quieter, more interactive experience, our sensory activity tent offers a safe and inclusive space for creative play. It’s the perfect spot to explore, unwind and take part in festive activities at your own pace.
Auslan interpreters
To ensure the concert is accessible to people who are Deaf or hard of hearing, Auslan interpreters will be present throughout the event. Their presence brings the joy of music and storytelling to everyone in the audience.
Accessible facilities
We’ve made sure the venue includes accessible toilets and, in most cases, a dedicated changing facility, designed to cater to the needs of all attendees comfortably.
Pick-up and drop-off zone
Getting to and from the event is hassle-free with a designated pick-up and drop-off zone close to the venue. This makes access simpler for people using a mobility device or arriving by assisted transport.
Join us for a truly inclusive Christmas
These thoughtful features are just some of the ways we’re making our concerts inclusive and welcoming. Whether you’re attending with family, friends or on your own, we can’t wait to celebrate the festive season together with you.
You can join the fun at our Christmas concerts in Rosebery, Rushcutters Bay, Glebe and Alexandria.
