Explore all that NAIDOC in the City has to offer this year

From live music, dance and sports to face painting, jewellery-making, artist weaving workshops and tasting traditional food made in an earth oven.

Experience a healing space and learn about self-care and creative expression at NAIDOC in the City this year.

NAIDOC in the City is a free celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Get your groove on with hip-hop dance workshops and enjoy the energetic live music and dance performances. And kids can enjoy getting their faces painted and make some paperbark canoes.

Once again the giant earth oven will be fired up and you’ll have the chance to taste some delicious food from Aboriginal food vendors like Goanna Hut and Meat Brothers.

Famous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music and dance acts will take to the stage including The Merindas, singer-songwriter Alice Skye and hip-hop locals Nooky and Kobie Dee.

This year’s NAIDOC theme ‘Voice. Treaty. Truth. Let’s work together for a share future’ reflects the 3 key elements set out in the Uluru Statement from the Heart, encouraging us to listen to the voice of the First Australians.

NAIDOC in the City is on at Hyde Park from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 13 July.
