Picture this: it’s well past midnight and you’re letting loose at your favourite nightclub. It’s been a while, but dancing is back in NSW, and now’s the time to plan your return boogie.

We asked our followers on Instagram to share the night spots they’re most excited to head back to. Here’s what they told us.

The Imperial

35 Erskineville Road
Erskineville

An icon and institution for LGBTIQ communities, the vibrant pub and bar is known for drag and cabaret shows.

“It’s a Sydney Institution and an all-welcoming place to dance,” said @hugowalton.

Webster’s Bar

323 King Street
Newtown

This 3-storey spot is best known for its rooftop bar, whiskey and craft beer.

“The rooftop is the best,” said @sydneystriowski.

Soda Factory

16 Wentworth Avenue
Surry Hills

Go for the hot dogs and retro cocktails and stay for the party at this late-night US-style diner.

“With Furnace and the Fundamentals! Not even a question!!” said @benjo55.

Sweethearts Rooftop

33-35 Darlinghurst Road
Potts Point

Nestled on the top floor of the Potts Point Hotel and famous for its Sunday sessions.

“Sweethearts Rooftop for some tunes,” said @thealtruistictraveller.

Ivy Pool

320 George Street
City centre

Inspired by the Italian coastline, this rooftop pool bar is a taste of the Mediterranean in the heart of the city.

“I arrived here just 2 weeks before the lockdown and a lot of my friends told me that this venue was great! So, I just want to live the experience as well!” said @ananas_du_972.

Bungalow 8

3 Lime Street
King Street Wharf

Renowned for its late-night harbourside parties, this tiki-themed tropical bar is a great place to dance from day to night.

“It’s fun and has amazing views. Has good ambience, food is good and you can have a blast,” said @surashree_paul.
