For almost 30 years, Lawrence Hargrave Reserve has been a popular park for locals in Kings Cross and Elizabeth Bay.
Soon locals will be able to enjoy a more welcoming, safe and accessible park thanks to an upgrade that includes an extended community garden, improved seating and new trees and plantings.
In November last year, the City consulted widely with the community on the park’s design proposal to ensure your feedback was incorporated into the final design.
The upgrade will ensure the amenity and history of Lawrence Hargrave Reserve is respected, while creating a better space for quiet, restful relaxation.
Quality green open spaces are so important for everyone in our community. Over the next 10 years, we’re upgrading more than 60 parks in our area – park upgrades that will create better quality open spaces, help keep our city cooler and support biodiversity.
