Pyrmont Community Centre is temporarily closed for an upgrade, including the gym, library link and outside school hours care until mid 2024.

City of Sydney programs, activities and employees are available at nearby Maybanke and Ultimo community centres.

Maybanke Community Centre is located at 87–89 Harris Street, Pyrmont, a 3-minute walk from Pyrmont Community Centre.

The centre is open 9am to 5pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 12pm to 9pm on Wednesday.

Ultimo Community Centre is located at 40 William Henry Street, corner Bulwara Road, Ultimo. Light rail and buses run frequently from John Street Square to the centre, a 17-minute walk.

Programs and activities at Maybanke Community Centre include free outdoor boxing and body blast fitness classes, a weekly stitching circle and women’s art group and a ukulele class. The library link service and a book exchange are also available during opening hours.

Weather permitting, a three-quarter sized accessible basketball court and synthetic grass court are available free for casual play during centre opening hours if they aren’t hired.

The community room and courts are available to hire during and outside opening hours.

Our after school and vacation care service is available at Ultimo Community Centre. SDN Children’s Services continues to operate at Pyrmont Community Centre during construction.

Other community-led activities, including the choir and community dinner are being held at Harold Park Community Hall in Forest Lodge.
