Sydney Peace Prize: Hear from 3 key architects of the Uluru Statement from the Heart

Professor Megan Davis presents the keynote address followed by Alyawarre woman Pat Anderson AO and Guugu Yimidhirr man Noel Pearson in conversation.

Every year, the Sydney Peace Prize brings the Sydney community together to talk about peace, justice and non-violence, and to honour one of the world’s most inspiring peacemakers.

In 2022, the prize is awarded to the Uluru Statement from the Heart, which calls for the “establishment of a First Nations Voice enshrined in the Constitution”. The prize honours the Uluru Statement from the Heart “for bringing together Australia's First Nations peoples around a clear and comprehensive agenda for healing and peace within our nation and delivering self-determination for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, that enables Australia to move into the future united and confident”.

The award ceremony and lecture at Sydney Town Hall on Thursday 10 November is an opportunity to hear from 3 of the people who worked tirelessly to develop the statement in May 2017. Cobble Cobble woman Professor Megan Davis presents the keynote address with journalist Narelda Jacobs in conversation with Alyawarre woman Pat Anderson AO and Guugu Yimidhirr man Noel Pearson.

Enjoy a performance by 6-time Aria Award winning singer-songwriter Dan Sultan.
