White Rabbit Gallery’s latest exhibition of Chinese contemporary art is all about the rabble-rousers, troublemakers, misfits and hooligans. The Mao-era crime of ‘hooliganism’ was notorious for its broad scope and arbitrary enforcement. See the works of artists who have defied and denounced in the face of relentless restrictions.
Meanwhile, artist Mike Hewson has transformed the Art Gallery of NSW’s exhibition space into an underground art park complete with playground, barbecue, DJ booth and even a sauna. You’re invited to play, explore and relax in this indoor summer playground.
