The story behind the stories: a new temporary artwork in Potts Point

Here Lies Your Story is a text-based mural where the words themselves have been collected from across our local community.

These short stories and memories create a unique picture of a place unlike any other.

Almost everyone has a memory from Kings Cross. This work captures some of that nostalgia.

Fenella Kernebone’s background is in television, radio and podcasts. More recently she has been helping people tell their stories as head of curation for TEDxSydney. In June 2021 she joined the University of Sydney as head of programming for its public talks program, Sydney Ideas.

Collaborating on the project is design director Marita Leuver and podcast producer and audio creative Cinnamon Nippard.

Here Lies Your Story is part of our Art & About program and will be on display until 16 May
