$1.5m in Covid-19 relief for community services

Individuals and not-for-profits can apply for special funding from the City of Sydney

These are testing times and more and more people in our community are going to need help. Not just now, but for quite some time.

As well as small business, cultural sector and creative fellowship grants, we’re offering funds to individuals and not-for-profits servicing vulnerable people in our communities.

If you work in this area, or know people who do, please spread the word about these grants.

Community services grants

Total amount we’re giving away: Up to $1.5 million

How much you can apply for: $5,000 to $50,000

These grants are for not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises that provide food, digital assistance and programs to help people feel connected and valued.

Quick response grant

Total amount we’re giving away: up to $500,000

How much you can apply for: $2,000 to $5,000

These grants are for small-scale programs. Funds can be used to present performances, creative work and classes online and other activities to support local businesses and the most vulnerable members of our community.

Other Covid-19 relief grants:

As well as these relief grants, we’re donating $1,000,000 to OzHarvest to help them feed more people. We’re also working with volunteer and non-government agencies to link offers of donations and volunteers with organisations or individuals in need of support.
