Our animal shelter is at full capacity. Across Sydney, animal shelters and animal rescue groups are in crisis, full and overwhelmed with cats, kittens and dogs needing new homes.
The high number of lost and abandoned animals continues to rise with more animals coming in each day. Many shelters are no longer accepting new intakes of animals due to overcrowding becoming a welfare issue.
Cats and dogs that have been picked up by City of Sydney rangers are taken to our partner shelter in Sutherland Shire Council.
The dedicated staff and volunteers at the shelter spend time with the animals to make sure they are exercised, socialised and able to maintain a solid bond with humans.
Adoption numbers are currently low and our own shelter facility currently has more than 150 cats and kittens seeking new homes.
We need to find the animals new homes and families urgently so we can help the ones currently on the streets.
