Free beginner sewing and repair workshops

Learn how to sew on a button, hem and repair a hole. Running this June in Glebe and Alexandria.

By extending the life of your clothes by 9 months, you can reduce their carbon, water, and waste footprints by 20–30%.

City of Sydney residents can choose from one of 8 free beginner sewing workshops in June.

Over 2 hours, teachers from Sew Make Create will show you how to repair the most common problems with well-loved clothes.

All tools and materials are provided, and you’ll receive a small sewing kit to take home for future repairs.
