Community services grants
What the grant covers: Supports projects and programs that help increase social cohesion and inclusion, develop healthy and resilient communities, and support participation in civic life.
How much you can apply for: Cash funding of up to $50,000 a year is available, for a one-year program or multi-year funding (up to 3 years). Value-in-kind in the form of street banner and venue hire is also available.
Who can apply: Eligible not-for-profit organisations, incorporated associations and individuals or unincorporated community groups that are auspiced by an eligible not-for-profit organisation.
Creative grants
What the grant covers: Supports projects and initiatives that contribute to Sydney’s cultural life, showcase local artistic talent, provide opportunities for creative participation, and strengthen the sustainability and capacity of our creative industries.
How much you can apply for: Cash funding of up to $50,000 a year is available, for a one-year program or multi-year funding (up to 3 years). Value in kind in the form of street banner pole hire and indoor venue hire is also available.
Who can apply: Eligible not-for-profits, incorporated associations, sole traders, individuals or unincorporated community groups supported by an eligible not-for-profit, corporations, co-operatives, partnerships, trustees of a trust or government cultural institutions.
Food support grants
What the grant covers: Supports access to affordable and healthy food for our diverse communities.
How much you can apply for: Cash funding is available, for a one-year program or multi-year funding (up to 3 years). For small scale projects (Tier 1), funding of up to $250,000 is available each year, with up to $750,000 available each year for large scale projects (Tier 2). Value-in-kind in the form of venue hire is also available.
Who can apply: Eligible not-for-profit organisations and incorporated associations can apply for both Tier 1 and 2. Individuals or unincorporated community groups auspiced by an eligible not-for-profit organisation can apply for Tier 1 only.
Business sector support grants
What the grant covers: Supports projects by local business chambers, industry associations and other organisations that grow the skills and capacity of local businesses. It also helps connect businesses to networking opportunities, advocate for local businesses on key issues and promote local precincts.
How much you can apply for: Cash funding from $10,000 to $50,000 a year is available, for a one-year program or multi-year funding (up to 3 years). Value in kind in the form of street banner pole hire and indoor venue hire is also available.
Who can apply: Eligible not-for-profit organisations, incorporated associations or business advocacy organisations.
Festivals and events sponsorship
What the grant covers: Supports local festivals and events that celebrate, develop and engage our diverse communities.
How much you can apply for: Cash funding up to $50,000 a year, for a one-year program or multi-year funding (up to 3 years). Value-in-kind in the form of street banner and venue hire is available.
Who can apply: Eligible not-for-profit organisations, sole traders, individuals or unincorporated community groups auspiced by an eligible not-for-profit organisation, incorporated associations, corporations, co-operatives, trustees of a trust, business advocacy organisations and government entities.
Haymarket activation grant
What the grant covers: Supports one major activation in the Haymarket precinct each year. The activation will attract people to Haymarket, celebrate Asian cultures and strengthen community inclusion and cohesion.
How much you can apply for: Cash funding of $200,000 plus up to $100,000 of value-in-kind is available for one major activation.
Who can apply: Eligible not-for-profits, incorporated associations, corporations, co-operatives and trustees of a trusts.
