Share your venue’s vibe on our social media channels

Our city buzzes day and night. Let’s spread the word.

We want to showcase the incredible energy of venues in our area, from late-night eats and live music to theatre, galleries and everything in between.

Our pilot project will feature short videos from local venues or event hosts on our Instagram account. It’s a simple way to share your venue with locals and visitors, and highlight the city’s nightlife and culture together.

How to take part

  • Capture a 10-second clip that shows your venue’s vibe. You don’t need professional equipment. A smartphone works perfectly if the footage is clear and steady.
  • Make sure no people are clearly recognisable.
  • Upload your video.

Filming tips

  • Record when your venue is buzzing, indoors or outdoors. Atmosphere is everything.
  • Use wide shots or interesting angles.
  • Keep it stable (use a tripod or rest your phone on something solid).
  • Aim for 10 seconds, with people unrecognisable (not voyeuristic).
  • Don’t add a timestamp or music – just send the raw clip.
  • You’re welcome to submit more than one video to show different moments or moods at your venue.

What happens next

We’ll review entries and may feature your venue on our Instagram feed. While we can’t guarantee every video will be published, we’ll provide feedback where we can. If your video is selected, we’ll contact you before it goes live on our Instagram account.

This pilot runs from 1 October 2025 to 1 January 2026, with the potential to continue if it’s a success.

Help us shine a light on our city, one venue at a time.
