Capturing the crossing from every angle.

From up high to down low, with our furry friends and human ones too – it’s been a delight to see your #SydneyRainbowCrossing images on Instagram since the crossing opened.

A world first

The crossing is the first in the world to be the shape of the rainbow as it curves around the intersection of Bourke and Campbell Street.

@bjmac captures the shape beautifully in this aerial image.

More green time

The intersection now prioritises people walking and riding, with drivers required to activate the sensor to get a green light.

This meant more time to enjoy the crossing for @purcellontour.

A symbol of pride

The crossing is a symbol of the City's longstanding support for our LGBTIQ community.

@modernmistress helped us celebrate the opening of the crossing on 9 February.

And @mers.d captures the bold colours in this great image.

A crossing for all

With canine vision made up of yellows, blues and violets, these dogs of Instagram are in for a real treat as they cross.
