  • Here is Here. And Everywhere.

Tobias Rehberger’s playful artwork Here is Here. And Everywhere. connects people and places along the main thoroughfare in the growing neighbourhood of Sydney’s Green Square.

Linking viewers to different parts of the world, the golden spheres slowly illuminate when the sun rises in 4 international locations.

The Green Square Library plaza installation will glow when the sun rises at Grasmere in the UK’s Lake District.

  • Tobias Rehberger’s playful artwork series

Featuring light, seating and plants, 4 colourful installations along Zetland Avenue create public places for people to enjoy throughout the Green Square town centre.

This sculpture proposed for the small park at the corner of Zetland and Defries avenues will gently illuminate at sunrise on Heard Island, part of Australia’s Antarctic Territory.

  • Green Square gets a glow up

Illuminated spheres remind us that we all live under the same sun.

Connecting viewers to different parts of the world, places selected for the work represent Green Square residents’ countries of origin, including the UK and China.

The artwork proposed for the corner of Joynton and Zetland avenues glows and fades as the sun rises and sets in Yaviza, Tapon del Darien in Panama.

Panama alludes to the many varied communities living in the area.

  • Delightful moments

The future Woolwash Park will glow when the sun comes up at Irkeshtam Port in Xinjiang, China.

“Playing with romantic notions and aspirations, the work triggers one’s imagination of far away and exotic places ...

Here is Here. And Everywhere. acknowledges history and community, addressing the site with humour in a way that people can easily relate to.”
