Find a Sydney Rides Festival event for you

You don’t need a bike to enjoy many of the events.

Sydney’s month-long celebration of all things 2-wheeled will see 20,000 people attend more than 30 bike themed events across the city. Even if you’re not an avid bike rider, there’s plenty of chances to get involved.

It’s a Big Adventure in Sydney Park

Thousands of families will head to Sydney Park for an action-packed adventure day.

With mountain boarding, parkour, rock climbing and bike yoga, the event is a must-do for active city kids. Watch jaw-dropping action from pro skateboarders and BMX riders, or pack a picnic blanket and tuck in to a food truck feast. You could even win a new bike.

Try a bike

No wheels? No problem! Grab your colleagues and dust off the rust together at 1 of 3 free lunchtime try-a-bike sessions at Barangaroo, The Domain or Prince Alfred Park. We’ll help you get back that feeling of the wind in your hair.

Register every ride you take during October for a chance to compete against other workplaces and win prizes.

Find inspiration at the Sydney Rides Gallery

Discover Sydney’s secret subterranean park with a spectacular photography exhibition in Paddington Reservoir Gardens.

The images will highlight Sydneysider’s bike-based adventures and our city’s most spectacular rides.

A night at the movies

Head to the Randwick Ritz for 2 nights of short films showcasing the best cycling stories from around the world.

From a night of bike-based adventures, to a program of the best biking women in the world, expect action, drama and plenty of humour. Book early to avoid disappointment.

Sydney bike polo tournament

20 teams from across Australia will battle it out on the hardcourts of Alexandria Park in this high-octane tournament of filly-free polo.

Players on bikes use mallets to strike a ball into the goal in this fast moving spectator sport dubbed ‘cycling’s best kept secret’.

Light the City

For 1 night only, experience Sydney’s spectacular harbour at an illuminated car-free Halloween themed party on Mrs Macquaries Road.

Enjoy lights and effects by bike or on foot. Expect gourmet food trucks, the ever popular silent disco and even zombie dancers. Low-cost bike hire is available on the night.
