Discover our rainbow city at Sydney WorldPride

You can’t miss the explosion of colour taking over the town right now. Follow the rainbow and enjoy these displays in our area.

  • The Progress Pride flag flies high on Sydney Town Hall

The flag-raising ceremony on Friday 17 February marked the official start of Sydney WorldPride.

It included Clover Moore, Lord Mayor of Sydney presenting the Key to the City to members of the community for advancing LGBTIQA+ rights.

The international symbol of LGBTIQA+ pride will fly for the festival's duration.

  • Sydney’s rainbow heart looks the part

With visitors from all over the world in town, making sure Oxford Street looks its best was front of mind for us. It’s all down to those little details – like our colourful street signs.

You'll also find them on streets around Oxford Street.

  • Painting the town pink

We commissioned Sydney queer artist Amy Blue to create a fantastic artwork and brighten up buildings being refurbished in Darlinghurst. The building between Crown and Palmer streets is the first to be ‘proud, pink and full of pop’.

  • Taylor Square is looking pretty wild

We’ve refreshed our famous rainbow crossing at Taylor Square in time for the festivities. Behind it on Kinselas is a painted mural designed by Double Rainbouu’s Mikey Nolan for Sydney WorldPride.

  • Queening it up for WorldPride

The historic Queen Victoria Building is looking glam as always. Head inside to see Enthroned, a vibrant art installation celebrating and honouring 5 powerful people from Sydney’s LGBTIQA+ communities.

  • Our rainbow path in Prince Alfred Park is looking fresh

The Taylor Square rainbow crossing wasn't the only one to get a refresh. We made sure the rainbow path on Equality Green in Prince Alfred Park is looking its best for locals and visitors, with a fresh lick of paint.
